TOLL SPD Multi Modal Network
Toll SPD is the Toll Group's specialist in multi modal full load transportation between Australian capital cities and the larger regional centres.
Core Operational Services
Rail Freight Forwarding - Full loads of palletised or bulk product on a door-to-door service basis between major capital cities and regional centres.
Door to door pick up and delivery service where delivery is performed utilising Pacific National Intermodal Services. Toll SPD is the largest customer/user of Pacific National services in Australia which ensures our customers receive the level of service they require.
Road Freight Forwarding - Full loads of palletised containerised loads and bulk products on a door-to-door service basis between major capital cities and regional centres. National door to door pick up and delivery service for all equipment types. Including capital cities and regional areas across Australia.
Sea Freight Forwarding - Full container loads of palletised and bulk products on a door-to-door service basis between major capital cities. National door to door pick up and delivery. It should be noted that shipping capacity is limited at times and Toll SPD works with it's customers to manage and minimize the impact of any capacity shortfall through other modal contingency plans.
Cross-docking - Cross docking is used to decrease inventory storage by streamlining the flow between the supplier and the manufacturer, alternatively the manufacturer and the retailer distribution centre.
Warehousing - Operation of warehouse facilities in Australian capital cities to provide our customers a national 24 hour delivery market access distribution plan.
Bulk products - Specialised operations for the transportation of bulk products by road, rail and sea between major capital cities and regional centres. Toll SPD is a major provider of specialised rail equipment for the bulk sector.
Customer specific - For major customers, Toll SPD provide an account management structure, which includes on-site operations and supervision. These operations are extremely customer specific and value adding and enable us to become a part of the customer's operations rather than merely a supplier. Some customers may require a national account management structure. We tailor our account management structure to suit the very specific requirements of individual customers.
